sorry for the late reply, Mousavi. I also think the webcam resolution on ASUS N61JQ is not too good. However, know also that, at least in Skype, the video resolution is also determined by the internet speed that you used.nnIf you want to check for the latest driver, go to http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx.nnMy suggestion is to get an external webcam for your use. I am using Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 now, and the quality is really amazing for around $60.

I have this laptop and I have a problem with its webcam, I think its resolution is very low and it gets my screen like 1 second after I move. Might it be because of a driver I need to download? if so, what is it and from where should I download it from? nnThank you very much, I will really appreciate it if I can get some help.

Hi Dark Maxa,nnHow loud is your laptop’s squealing sound? From what you mentioned, it seems that yours was pretty loud. Mine wasn’t that loud at all and it produced the sound from time to time only, and it was barely noticeable unless you stick your ear right next to the fan, so I don’t really dig around to find the solution for this as it was not really a problem to begin with.nnI haven’t found out what’s causing this. I would assume it was something to do with the fan. It might be caused by internal friction or wrong fan placement. I am not really sure. However, if your laptop produced a really noticeable squealing sound, you might want to exchange your laptop as it might be a defective product.nnI’ll let you know if I come across the solution.

The sound quality is good. It’s not the greatest speaker in the world, but it does its job.nnAs far as watching 1080p videos, it can play it smoothly. The max screen resolution is actually 1366×768, not 1024×768.

Hi how is the sound quality? Does it bother while watchin 1080p videos. I mean it has max resulution of 1024 x 768 . i beleive does it make a difference?
