The Korean Restaurant

Did you remember when we kidnapped one of my friend, Chang Hun, to this new Korean restaurant in town here? Well…I finally had chance to go back there again with some of my friend and got some pictures.

So far, all the food that I tried are good. This time, instead of Kimchi Chige, I ordered Bibim Bap. One warning I should give you when you ordred Kimchi Chige is that it’s really….really HOT, both temperature hot and spicy hot! I think it’s because they are using stone bowl, so the bowl itself preserves the hotness of the soup. For Bibim Bap, you might need to add salt though, buy may be it’s just me. Other than that, the meal itself is good, lots of vegetables in it, and had good portion too. I can’t finish it, so I brought some back home.

If you are visiting Pensacola, FL, you should visit this restaurant.

2009 Chinese New Year – Feast at Yums Chinese Restaurant

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Chinese new year to everyone who celebrate it. Since Chinese new year last for 15 days, I hope it’s not too late to greet you :) It is ox year now. If you are not familiar with Chinese new year, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_New_Year for further detail.

Yums Chinese Restaurant
1620 Airport Blvd
Pensacola, FL 32504
(850) 477-2999

We also celebrate Chinese new year here, and there is no other better way to celebrate Chinese new year than by eating, right? One of our friend knew the owner of Yum’s Chinese Restaurant, so the owner asked us if we want to celebrate Chinese new year at his restaurant. He will cook 24 different kind of foods for us. Impressive, isn’t it? Unfortunately, they are not free though (I wish they are free). We still have to pay for it, $24, but still, 24 foods is a LOT. We ate everything from sticky rice, chicken feet, egg plant, spicy egg, and lobster. The food are too many to be mentioned.

So, 25 people went to Yum’s Chinese Restaurant and filled up the room. The room is not too big, but luckily we are all fit there. The food was already on the table waiting patiently to be eaten by us hahhahaa. The food was great…with a lot of variety too. We really enjoyed our night. After we ate, we hang out for a little bit in the parking lot.
