If you don’t live in US, the chance is that you haven’t heard of Ted Williams. I, too, knew about him recently from one of my friend, Andy Chandra. He put a status update in his wall on Facebook saying:

‎- yeaa….the Homeless Man with a Golden Radio Voice got a job offer…more than 100 job offers

and my response was

what r u talking about? dpt dr mana lu ini (where did you get this)?

It turns out he was talking about Ted Williams, and here’s the complete story how it all started. I hope you can be blessed by his story.

Simple Shortcuts to Search Email in Your Gmail

by Steven Sentosa on January 4, 2011

I was looking for a specific email that I received couple months ago. Since there’s no “Go to Date:….” button, I ended up have to hit the “Older” button to get to my older messages in my Gmail Inbox, which will take forever since I was looking for an email back in May 2010.

After a quick search on Google. I found out an easy way to do it. You just have to type “after:2010/05/01 before:2010/05/31″ in Gmail’s search bar. Voilla…all my emails are filtered so that only those email that I received between those date range shown.

Some shortcuts that I found to search your Gmail email messages:

  • from:xxx@abc.com
  • to:yyy@xyz.com
  • cc:yyy@xyz.com
  • bcc:yyy@xyz.com
  • subject:greeting
  • after:YYYY/MM/DD
  • before:YYYY/MM/DD
  • label:abcd (to list emails under specific label)
  • has:attachment (to find emails that have attachment)
  • filename:abcde.zip (to find specific file name or extension among all the attachments in your Gmail Inbox)
  • in:anywhere, in:inbox, in:trash, or in:spam (to find email in specific places)

Do you know any other shortcuts like these? If you do, please leave your comments below to share it with others.
