I had a great Christmas service with Chris Tomlin and Louie Giglio at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. The night was so cold and I wasn’t really prepared for an semi-outdoor event like this. O well…the show must go on.
The Passion band performed really well. I still don’t understand how they could withstand the cold weather and played their instruments just fine. I guess their “fire” for God is much hotter than the icy cold weather.
Pastor Louie also gave a great message about how we are invited to receive God’s greatest gift of all, salvation. God has sent His only son to pay all of our sins. All that we need to do is to receive Him as our savior and get saved.
and….to end this great night, we went out for dinner to Pho Mimi. I got this hot and tasty Vietnamese combination noodle, which is perfect for the cold weather at that night.
Louie Giglio with his team at Passion City Church were also helping this poor family that they found on USA Today (read the story). Upon reading the newspaper on the plane, Louie Giglio decided to “hunt” this girl in Haiti. After few months, he was finally able to get in touch with the writer of this story and decided to make a change in Therissa’s life. Watch the video below for complete story.
Are you going to go for Black Friday shopping this year? If you are, let me help you a little bit.
If you were one of these people who were waiting in line, you know the frustration when it comes to Black Friday shopping. For my experience, the key here is to know WHEN the store is open and WHAT are being sold.
WHEN the store is open…..
This is really important so that you can get in line early enough and beat the other people. You can also hop between stores if you can manage your time wisely to get the things that you want to buy, because more likely, you can’t get all the stuff that you want from only one store.
WHAT are being sold…..
Without knowing first what is being sold in a store, you are just “blind” shopping. The chance is that you won’t get all the good deals, because while you are waiting in line, people around you have already known what they want to get and specifically target those items when the store is open. So…the answer is to list the stuff that you want to buy, and find stores that carry those items with the lowest price. Once the store is open, you directly hit those store and go to where those items are. If you are not fast enough, someone else is going to snatch the items from you. I know…world is tough
Well…the question now is how do you know WHEN the store is open for Black Friday sales and WHAT are being sold there? I have great news for you. One of my friend just sent me this excel file containing all the deals from all stores around US as of 11/23/10 – 3:30pm CST, so I want to share it with you.
It has been almost 2 years now that I’m using my Blackberry Bold 9000. I would say that it was a good device overall, especially for office uses, such as email and blackberry messenger. Other than that, it gets pretty boring. Now that smartphone era has come, my next phone options are just two, iPhone or Android.
After hearing so many good things about Android, I decided to switch my allegiance to the glorious Android phone, Samsung Captivate from AT&T (or some people knew it as Samsung Galaxy S or Samsung SGH-I897). [read more...]
