I had a great Christmas service with Chris Tomlin and Louie Giglio at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. The night was so cold and I wasn’t really prepared for an semi-outdoor event like this. O well…the show must go on.
The Passion band performed really well. I still don’t understand how they could withstand the cold weather and played their instruments just fine. I guess their “fire” for God is much hotter than the icy cold weather. 🙂
Pastor Louie also gave a great message about how we are invited to receive God’s greatest gift of all, salvation. God has sent His only son to pay all of our sins. All that we need to do is to receive Him as our savior and get saved.
and….to end this great night, we went out for dinner to Pho Mimi. I got this hot and tasty Vietnamese combination noodle, which is perfect for the cold weather at that night.
Louie Giglio with his team at Passion City Church were also helping this poor family that they found on USA Today (read the story). Upon reading the newspaper on the plane, Louie Giglio decided to “hunt” this girl in Haiti. After few months, he was finally able to get in touch with the writer of this story and decided to make a change in Therissa’s life. Watch the video below for complete story.
