Bakmi Aloi Cabang Greenville

In one fine morning, I suddenly wanted to bike. I haven’t been using my Dahon folding bike for almost 1 month, I think. If you asked me why, the answer is because I’m being lazy. Yup…I admitted it. True that I’m busy with work and stuff, but where there’s a will, there will be a way. Right? At least, that’s what the wise man would say 🙂

Anyway….I finally went biking from my house to Belleza area, near Permata Hijau. Belleza is where I work daily. I have always wanted to try to bike to work, so this is the time I make it into reality, even though today I’m not officially working.

It took me 30 min to get there + a lot of heart quenching & gasping for air. I soon realized how out of shape I am. But…I reached my destination!

All along while I was biking, I only have 1 thing on my mind… “What will I eat after this?” LOL Since this morning, I have been wanting to try out Bakmi Aloi Cabang Greenville. I have heard about that noodle place (since it’s right next to Bakmi Alok, one of the famous noodle place in Greenville also), but I have never tried it.

So I made up my mind. After going back from Bellezza, I went straight to Bakmi Aloi Cabang Greenville.

It is the 1st time for me here at Bakmi Aloi Cabang Greenville. Below are some pictures of the place.

Taste-wise, I don’t think it’s that special. The differences are the fact that it’s using sweet soy sauce (not 100% sure, but it looks like it), like a Yamin Noodle, and it’s using different types of meat/drrssings: chicken, chopped pork, chasiu, and mushroom.

At first, I was kinda disappointed due to the fact that it doesn’t use any vegetables (only bean sprout) – and if you know me, I’m a huge fan of veggies. But luckily, I found some caisim in my bowl of suikiauw (shrimp dumpling)

And if you are that particular about their sambal, you can see below the type of sambal that they are using.

They have chili paste and pickled chili with onion. They are a pretty good combination with the noodle actually.

Overall, I give Bakmi Aloi Cabang Greenville a score of 6 out of 10. It is a unique noodle with variety of meat/dressings on top, but the fact that it’s using sweet soy sauce (kecap) is something that I’m not typically fond of.

Alas…all of those 1.5 portion of noodle is almost gone 🙂
