If you don’t live in US, the chance is that you haven’t heard of Ted Williams. I, too, knew about him recently from one of my friend, Andy Chandra. He put a status update in his wall on Facebook saying:
- yeaa….the Homeless Man with a Golden Radio Voice got a job offer…more than 100 job offers
and my response was
what r u talking about? dpt dr mana lu ini (where did you get this)?
It turns out he was talking about Ted Williams, and here’s the complete story how it all started. I hope you can be blessed by his story.
Ted Williams was a homeless man from 1993 until 2010. However, it all changed recently. A local news reporter from The Columbus Dispatch found him on the side of the street between I71 and Hudson St.
This is the exact location where the video was taken.

Since then, he’s been on several popular TV show.
As you can see, this man, Ted Williams, is an overnight celebrity because of that little video on Youtube by The Columbus Dispatch reporter, Doral Chenoweth III. One thing that I’m thankful is that he is honoring God in whatever he does. However, he has one wish, and that is to meet his mom that he hasn’t seen for 20 years. His mom is in her 90s now, so Ted William’s hope is that his mom would live long enough to see him turn over his life leaf, from a homeless man into a a success man.
Well…his wish just came true several days after he’s on TV.
Ted Williams is now getting hundreds of job offer. Two of them were from Cleveland Cavalier and Kraft. However, at least for now, Ted Williams mentioned that he is now the official voice for Kraft’s Macaroni and Cheese. I’m not sure about what other offers he would take, but at least we know that he took Kraft’s. Here’s the commercial from Kraft with Ted William’s voice.
He’s even in Jimmy Fallow’s show.
Ted Williams might be a national celebrity now, but nonetheless, he is the living proof of Proverbs 3:5-6.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Years ago, when Ted Williams strayed with his addiction to alcohol, drug, and his rejection to God, he barely got his life together. But now, after he surrenders everything to God and bring everything for His glory, God start revealing his promise to His children that He will never forsake thee nor leave thee (Hebrew 13).
Here’s the official video recap from TheDispatch.com. Addition to that, Ted Williams just recently visited his old tent while he was homeless. I hope this can be a blessing for you.
Please share this post with your friends who need encouragements. Let him know that God can do miraculous things and turns new leaf on someone’s life, even within days.
